Today we went to Castellammare del Golfo by the coach, which dropped us off at the top of the town. Gilberto had arranged a lift for me and my wheelchair but it was a very small car so only me and my wheelchair no Neil! Got down to the port and she took me to where the boat was and the group found me and Neil and we went for a coffee and a toilet break. As there ...

... behind too Helen and Geoff and Lorraine and Gordon and Peter, all a bit worn out now and the hotel is truly a beautiful place to have a rest.

Gilberto had arranged a lift for me from the coach to the restaurant and back again.

We wake up at 5am and dump Alison and Scott on the quay and make a quick get away as 50 miles to do before the windy front arrives, that Is due late afternoon. We make good time and turn the corner of the west coast as the winds pick up so glad to be in harbour by 3. Trapini was supposed to be a quiet fishing village known for its good fish restaurants but once again duff info. A busy port with lots of ferries ...

... t go fast enough and I like to meander!

You could easily spend a few hours here and thus it was after 5pm when we finally made it back to our tiny car. Lucky dinner wasn’t until 8pm! We still had plenty of time to return home. Thank goodness Mum and Dad voted for us to take the autostrada (highway) home. It only took 1.5 hours speeding along with all the locals at 150 km/hour to reach our idyllic country lodge, in plenty of time for ...
