    ... ice cave in the snow / glacier. It is a mountain cave. There are over 40km of caves within the system, but the first 1km is covered in ice due to a unique phenomenon. The cave is cooled by the freezing winds entering the caves in winter and the thaw water freezes as it trickles in, forming gigantic ice figures - 25 meters thick in parts. Getting there isn't easy.     ... and we were in the water needing to cool off. Did I mention alpine waters? It was freezing! Could not spend much more than a few minutes in the water.
