... is built at the bottom and up the side of a mountain on the edge of Lake Hallstatt. We loved this quaint little village and found it hard to believe how long people have been living there. ... in a complex with many others, dropped off our bags and went to tour Hallstatt. We both thought that it reminded us a bit of Leavenworth but with a very large lake bordering the village. Very touristy with what seemed like hundreds of Asian tourists. Most seemed very young and of course snapping pictures of everything.
