Before we left Strasburg we visited RSI Video Technologies, a company that supplies goods to Gilly's employer Clive, as Gilly wanted to meet the people that he spends a lot of time on the phone with doing business.

They were very friendly and we were supplied with croissants and coffee before being given a tour around the factory which Gilly found very interesting even if Les and myself did not!!

From the view point you can see ferries crossing and cruising the lake and we can just make out the Alps in the distance. When the weather us good you should be able to see the snowy peaks! three course meal later we all said our good byes and headed on our separate
    ways.

... Early in the session we crossed into the town of Constance
in Germany and took advantage of the cheaper prices available to purchase bike
spares. We then stopped next to the lake whilst Jan replaced the tyres on both
    Stef’s and my bike.

Bikes repaired we set off at a very gentle pace for wherever
the road might take us. The area is very green with a lot of fruit trees ...

Tunnels, more tunnels, and theatre on the lake

The first hour of the drive from Lauterbrunen northwest to Austria was very interesting with farms and pretty towns and even a Swiss horn player practising on the roadside on a mountain pass but once we got closer to the big cities of Lucerne and Zurich we stuck to the motorways. There wasn’t much to see other than huge industrial sites and the insides of tunnels. The Swiss sure do tunnels well. We must have done 40 plus in the two days we drove through Switzerland. ...
