Meersburg has made it to the list of my all time favorite towns. It is on the north side of Lake Konstanze and was another German city spared bombing. Consequently it's medieval architecture is evident in just about everything. So many people out today. It boasts the largest castle in Germany and has the most incredible lakeside promenade. When we got back to camp we had a look at some of the
permanent “cabins” that were on sale at the camp with a view to possible buying
one as a temporary measure whilst still looking for a house. The unit we looked
at was very neat and is certainly an option, but after much deliberation we
have decided to abandon this idea for the time being.
We awoke to a temperature of 6 degrees only to witness a
woman going for a swim in the lake. TOK, TOK, TOK, these Germans aren’t well.
From Titisee to Switzerland is only a short drive so we
decided to go back to the Lake Constance area and relax for a few days on the
