... it quite achievable. We then carried on, but having been told by the woman at our last hotel that restaurants etc would not be open on a Monday, we stopped at a grocery store at 1215, and ate our lunch in the parking lot. We had not gone more than 2 Kms after that when we found lots of places where we could have sat like civilized people. Our route then joined the day's route for the last 30-40kms. As ...

    ... a few minutes later.

This was the big climb of the day, about 10 km at around an 8% average. Much of this climb was cut into the side of a valley with a number of switchbacks so the views were impressive including the always popular snowy peaks. Not so popular were the swarms of flies following us up.

Treacle wasn't very well (as usual) so I had a couple of 'quiet' days, on one I did lots of minor jobs about the motorhome including mending a cupboard catch, re-attaching the security camera in the cab, cleaning all the drains and giving the toilet cassette a spring clean! I also visited Graus on my motorbike and thought it a lovely town, my feelings enhanced by the fact it had a patisserie selling delicious cakes. I liked it so much I decided ...

We arrived this afternoon after driving via Toulouse. The drive up the mountains takes two hours and is a combination of winding roads and tunnels a few times all you could see was a mountain 100 metres ahead and no obvious road until you go around a bend. Its one of the prettiest towns I've ever seen. Snow all gone but now gearing up for summer hikers. Wine 2 euro a bottle, beer 2.50 a pint.I had a few electrical problems but after an hour with ...
