      ... The return directions however began with streets that were still under construction, so we could not go that way. Conor decided to try his luck asking for directions at the gas station. One of the attendants who spoke some English had no clue where he was or how to help us with directions. The other attendant spoke no English and seemed to know.       Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. Amazing brushwork and huge alter pieces some with bible stories that were new to me. Spent arvo wandering lanes and canals. Pizza at same restaurant. ...

      ... only to wait two hours. Plenty of time to have gone to see the Duomo but the boys crashed right there on a hard bench in the waiting area, so we knew we had probably made the right decision. It was a miserable wait, so you think we would have been first in line for the train. We weren't, so we only were able to only snag two seats when we boarded.
