      One of the woman gets a form – standard first admission I guess – and beckons me to follow.

      We go downstairs, spiral ones to boot, and she beckons a chair and says something like ‘a moment’.

      I wait about 4-5 minutes and she returns, and in English ...

      We have had a great time in Europe and are looking forward to Thailand. Said goodbye to our host and set out for Milan Malpensa airport for an overnight stay and flight out to Bangkok, then Chiang Mai. Weather has turned nasty with floods in Genoa and a lot of Northern Italy. Looks like a devastation area with cars and bridges washed away or left in piles. There have been some deaths.
