... on the street, but they have these little on-street fenced areas where people can smoke (just like being in isolation ward). They may have non smoking areas in restaurants but the smoking section can be right next to you. You book a non smoking room, but some still smell of smoke, possibly ingrained in furnishings before changes were made. Not enjoyable for sensitive non-smoking noses.

... thankful for this trip what I was able to experience in such a short amount of time. Even though it was a quick trip for me I've learned a lot.

One of the things that is different in Japan vs Korea is that they drive on the left side of the road and in the vehicles the drivers are on the right side, not the left side like in Korea ...

... Friday afternoon. This means that I will be able to head back to Korea Friday afternoon after picking up my passport.

For the rest of day and all day tomorrow I will take time to explore the area and I in. I will post pictures of my adventures.

... of where I was going and if I was going to get on the right bus or not. He was actually going the same direction as me, so he helped me once we were on the bus and told me exactly which stop I needed to get off and how much the bus fare was. I am so thankful that he was able to help me. I was going to take a taxi, but I have been told that the taxi fares in Japan are pretty expensive compared to what I am used to ...

This morning we left our hotel early and got one last time on the shinkansen. I must say that I will miss this wonderful train that ALWAYS runs on time, rides VERY smoothly, has very large COMFORTABLE chairs and (for me huge, for Willem) PERFECT leg space. There is though one thing we will not miss: the fact that each next station is announced a trillion times, in all possible languages, and that there is a need to also mention all the other ...
