... shabby after our 5 hours of sleep. As I stepped out on our verandah , I saw the rain was gone and it was a crisp, clear day with not a cloud in the sky. We had planned to spend our day going up to Jungfraujoch, the top of Europe.
We got on the 8.30 train which takes almost 2 hours to get to the top. The scenery on the way incredible with snow ...

Transportation is amazing here. We started with two trains, then a bus, then a gondola or funicular as they call it, then a mountain hike, then two more funiculars to get to the summit of the Schilthorn at 9000 ft. The laundromat was open till 10pm, so we could wait till the sun went down a little, before heading out. We planned on grabbing a pizza while doing our laundry. The pizza place we had looked up, was more of a restaurant, but they were nice enough to let us to take out. The pizza was very good, it was the thinner Italian style pizza. Waiting for laundry ...

... so we skied from pole to pole until we reached the Hundschopf. The benefit of this was that this was a really quiet run and we were both able to take the steep slope at our own pace. Despite the snow much more of the blue painted ice from the race three weeks ago was visible and in some cases had to be skied over. We flew under the railway at Wasserstation and set off down the gliding part of the course. The speed gun was working today and we both ...
