We were so excited our first time seeing snow. As we headed out of Zurich our excitement increased with every kilometre we travelled. The countryside is absolutely beautiful the trees are a multitude of colours and the mountains are covered in snow. We stopped and had a real hot chocolate. It was heavenly! We transferred onto the cog railway which took us up to Jungfrau - the Top of Europe. It is 3500 ...

The rest of the night turned into quite a blur, with Appenzeller (a swiss alcohol) for me and red wine for Em being paired with some great discussions with the old bosses and some of the old staff. Then it was the waiting game till our skydive. Surprisingly I wasn't nervous or scared, just really really excited!! We got seven down the road to the helipad where we were put into jumpsuits and taken through how it all works. Unfortunately they could only take ...

Swiss waterfalls

... for unprepared-ness. Having to pay to see a waterfall sounds stingy to me (NZ ones are free!) but I realise it isn't. The Swiss haven't just built iron handrails and careful concrete steps inside a mountain full of glacial meltwater, they've not just put spotlights on it, the have installed an ELEVATOR. I don't take it, but its existence amazes me. The waterfall itself also amazes me. This is a different beast from the ones in ...
