to the Swiss who died in the French revolution). It is a huge stone carving in
the side of a rock. The monument measures around 10 metres wide and six high.
The Lion looks so sad it is very emotional to look at. The carving itself is
amazingly detailed and Lucerne was worth stopping at just to see the monument.
... and show dinner. It ended up being really close to our hotel. First course of real Swiss fondue which was interesting. Then salad and main course - Brad had veal in a cream and mushroom sauce with rosti and I had breaded veal with rosti. This was followed by strawberry Icecream with meringue and fruit and cream.
