... not adhering to the reboarding times, we commenced our 2 hour drive back to Zurich along Lake Walen, at the foot of the Churfirsten mountain range. Although late, Marcello requested the driver to make an unplanned 5 minute stop so we could see and photograph Lake Walen's beautiful scenery. Yet again, the same people were late reboarding the bus. As we pulled in to Zurich city, Marcello gave us his parting joke, well actually more like imparting his wisdom and bid us ...

It's a dimly lit confection of ceiling fresco, stucco, cherubs and parquetry. Only 30,000 of the total 150,000 volumes are in the library at any one time. We did a lot of walking today. We had time to kill while our laundry was being done for us. Eldon is giving me a little down time, which he knows I need. Thursday 28 August

Moved on this morning, up the Pitztal valley, just south
of Imst. Went up to the Pitztal glacier, taking the Glacier Express(tunnel
train) followed Tyrol’s highest cable car to the restaurant at 3,440m, near the
top of the Wildspitze (3,774m). Perfect weather for a day in the snow – blue
    skies and no wind.

Staying near Jerzens tonight. Had a great evening meal at
    the campsite restaurant ...

    Rainy Skies

    Tuesday 26 August

Rained all through the night, non-stop. Fridge still
refusing to fire on LPG. Weather forecast for the day is not good, and not much
better at this altitude until Thursday so we have decided to head off and down.
Checked out, with a charge for the electricity of 2.7Kw. Their PC chart showed
the fridge started on electricity at 1600, 25 Aug through to 0900 26 Aug, with
    a setting of 2 bars and a cool ...
