... me (but he's also inviting his friends Harry and Harry's girlfriend, Shirline)! Plus, he said he knows where my greatest friend, Willa "Paige" Brooks, is and that's where she's taking me after dinner! He has to be the best boyfriend in history (if he wasn't, then all the other boyfriends in the world would be dumb, and they already are)!

Gotta go, Dean text me!!! Georgia Coast, Georgia, United States lovegossip909... no option other than bodge-together the broken straps, re-mount the bike on the trailer and carry on, not knowing the dreadful state of the road that awaited us.

We were all somewhat frazzled when we arrived in the town about midnight and I certainly think it was the hardest days driving I have done on this trip. Baz went straight to bed and Pete and myself just had to have a cold one...

Cheers, Rick.
Bat'umi, Ajaria, Georgia ricka... and down the street, hence the dollars, right? I wouldn't call it Glitter Gulch, though; it looks pretty down-scale, though pleasant enough I suppose. I grab a decent hotel with a hundred TV channels, all in Georgian. Everything's in Georgian; I haven't heard ten words of English since I left Istanbul, and all of that was halting. So it's nice to have a decent hotel where the staff speaks decent English. They can be your only ...
Batumi, Georgia hardiek... and we have a coffee in one of those overpriced cafés in the old town. 25.9.2008: Kakheti Today we plan to visit Kakheti province, the centre of local wine culture - I'm really looking forward to taste some good one. However, this was shown not to be so easy for a regular tourist even though it was harvest time. There are no wine cellars neither shops [em, yes, Georgian people aren't much of entrepreneurs] ... one has to ask in a village, get a recommendation and visit a ...
Batumi, Georgia mysHi folks from batumi which is on the Black Sea. Georgia has been fantastic. The scenery has at last turned again to being ultra picturesque, lots of greenery and mountains, but as we know only too well in UK greenery comes from rainfall and we have had a couple of downpours. Fortunately one was early morning while we were still asleep but then getting down soaking tents is not a nice job. I'm fraid I am going to have a mini rant here abpout people on the trip- more of a ...
Batumi, Georgia queenietord... cars about 40' away. There were a few people walking around the cars and both of them had their blinkers on. The cop split, the kids continued to yell, their car alarms kept going off and I suggested that we hit the road. Jodie wanted to give it a little more time before we got going so we waited a 1/2 hr or so and they all split in one car, leaving the other one there. It was our first night of interrupted sleep in a parking lot.
Dublin, Georgia, United States jodieandandyYes, I did travel from Mont Tremblant to St Augustine Florida. It was not as scary as I made it out. The trip only took 2-3 days. Not much site seeing.. but navigating New York was intimidating. All the expressways seemed endless after living in the country. And New Yorkers were ??? Driving through the Carolina's, the hotel receptionist had no teeth. Finally getting to Florida. Lots of sand and no flowers. My cats survived the move. I did not stop anywhere that I planned as ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States natasha499... could be seen along the boardwalk. I'd given up on trying to make sense of this series of circles & squiggles, right when a young androgynous kid named Robert found me wandering on the street. He spoke little English but used an elaborate form of sign language, directing me to what he referred to as a "house-hotel" nearby. The owner, Gula, was a sweet lady who knew how to say yes, no and "problem: no". The place was spooky and ...
Bat'umi, Georgia o_thou_bandit... much in my life. Maybe I need to move to a drier climate. Or a place in which my "inner climate" regulates the flow to a gentle mist that buffers the torrent and refreshes my soul. I'll work on that, too. I haven't seen a lot of wildlife on this trip, unless you count the herds of water-buffalo-vehicles that "share the road" with me. There are the tractor-trailer behemoths that thunder by creating a displaced draft that "gently nudges" my trailer to the shoulder. There are the ...
Greensboro, Georgia, United States cindy_carroll... top where we ate lunch on a cliff, skeet shooting, and saw numerous beautiful waterfalls. North Carolina - Just pulled in to our campsite. We are in a town that is between Charlotte and Boone. Tomorrow we plan on visiting Charlotte followed by a trip up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
