... sang for the tourist visiting the church. The acoustics in the church really added to the magic and gave a surround sound feel. There was applause after and we thanked the people for teaching us about the culture and allowing us to experience it with them, and then said our goodbyes. We called a cab and went to see the rest of the city. The city was especially beautiful at night.

... we walked towards the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Sophia's most iconic attraction, and went inside. It was beautiful inside, a large space - no pews or seats in Orthodox churches - with walls and ceilings covered in frescoes and dozens of candles lit all around, which cheered Squirt up, who was a little fed up with Sofia and a little fed up with being cold. ... I also haven't had milk at all! I only use a little on my cereal. They don't have skim or 1% here..actually no milk is like the milk I like so I just steer clear.
Lately, Landen and Addie have been at "Mamaw's" so we've been skyping much more..pretty much everyday. Even though they fight for the phone and scream a lot, I love hearing Landen say, "Cakkie" and Addie scream, "HEY! HEY! HEY!." It makes me all the more ready to be home in 11 DAYS. WOOHOO.

... her test scores back from her Cambridge exam (much like the ACT/SAT). She scored well above what she needed and since I was tutoring her they wanted to treat both of us. It was AMAZING. The food was wonderful and I even got pumpkin cheesecake. Score. Overall, I would say my Bulgarian Halloween experience was a great success (even though I miss Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins soooo much haha).
