... a nightmare, and the beautiful view would be cram packed with boats! The cruise passengers are in town for less than 24 hours and I don’t think many of them even explore much further than Fira!

As well as overpriced drinks and trinkets, every second store in Fira is a jewellery shop. We decided here might be the place to buy our wedding rings! We shopped around at a few different places, and found one we were happy with on price and service (not too pushy or ...

Afterwards we went to the bar for a pre-dinner drink and then to the restaurant for dinner. Tonight was our waiter Sasila's last night before heading ...

The tender process was easy today as is seemed that everyone was sleeping in! Alex and I were the first of our family off the ship, and we arrived on the shore just after 8am. We decided not to ride the donkeys to the top of the 1000 metre cliff as a matter of ethics (we were concerned for their welfare, ...

... and walked back up the street, i had a look at some of the shops. I then heard cheering, then continued on to the hotel. At the hop of the street leading to the hotel there was more cheering. I got back to the hotel and the soccor was on the tv in reception. Currently the score was Germany 5, Brazil 0. I used the WiFi, watched the comments about the game on facebook and then went off to bed. Germany ended up winning 7 – 1.
