... we joined them for a drink. We said goodbye to all of the workers at the resort that gave us excellent service throughout our stay. These people went above and beyond and hopefully we will return to this resort one day in the future. We decided to head back to the room at 10:00, yes very late for us. We are getting picked up at the hotel to head for the airport tomorrow morning at 10:15am. All in all, this trip was amazing and we can't wait to come back to Costa ...

To be fair this was probably more because this time I wasn't in the first stages of hypothermia (by the way I'm not actually being my usually dramatic self, I've read the rescue diver book and I had most of the symptoms and related performance issues of hypothermia). We started with the deep dive again and went down to 33 metres. As we started to go down on the line we hit a wall of cold ...

... so you walk these dimly lit paths which usually I would love but when you know there is no one else here its terribly unnerving. How do people even get this far out to hike the Rio??? I know you can bus it out this way then hike (up the “road” we took…yoikes) but doing that in the rainy season likely doesn’t happen much. One thing about being so remote for me is the feeling that you aren’t alone and I sort of like the ...
