... myself that the situation is not life threatening & to be patient, to calm down. The fact that the park closed at 3pm is what stressed me out. Banks open at 11am, parks close at 3pm ~ it just didn't make sense to me. But that's the beauty of being in another country, it makes sense to them. And then being in a place later in the day that you never imagined you would be in, a positive place, both physically & mentally.

... we has a great hike at the volcano, saw lots of old lava flows and got some magnificent views of the peak. Then we headed into town for some lunch (um, we were ****** and opted for some homesickness alleviated burger king) and then continued on to hike down to the 230 ft. Catarata Rio Fortuna (waterfall of the Fortuna River).

The hike was LOCO. It was so crazy steep and there were numerous landslides from the recent rains ...
