... hostels I decided a night in sheer 5 star paradise was needed. I had requested a room in front of the volcano and I was beside myself because that is exactly what we got especially as I managed to get the last villa available for the night. It was dark when we arrived but you could see in the distance the huge dark silhouette a view that I knew would blow our minds in the morning. We settled in to our room, it was incredible. All we need to do to complete it is do two scenarios in the ocean-unresponsive diver under/on the surface and exiting from shore/CPR on the shore. We also had to do a search pattern for a missing diver, who was in this case our boat captain Jose. There were a few strong waves at the shore today and Brenda actually got knocked over (kind of funny, sorry Brenda!). ...

... time of writing & in an attempt to curb our spending we've just stayed in a $10 a night hovel (no that's not a typo, i do mean hovel) which has the cheek to call itself Backpacker's Paradise. Somehow this depressing little place has even made in into Lonely Planet, which we're about to give up on due to it's rubbish recommendations. The huge consolation is we're within walking distance to beautiful beaches, (though the nicest ones are within ...
