... to an earthquake. There is a good chance that I'm married to a psychic.......Holy gypsy! Right after the shaking, the entire staff ordered everybody out of the pool and to the safe area in front of the hotel. This was a precaution in case a tsunami was headed our way. The beach never receded and the tsunami alert was called off so we were allowed back into the pool.
At 4:00 we decided to head back to the room to get ready for our dinner ...

It was beautiful.
We set up camp and had to put a lot of leaves under our tent because it was so rocky! Then we cooked up some dinner of sausage and tortillas and hiked up a nearby hill, overlooking the water, to watch the sunset.
The night ended with a little campfire on the beach.

... noise?" He proceeded to tell me that it came from little beetles in the trees. Later, during our hike, he showed me the skin of the beetle. The beetle sheds its skin and it sticks to wherever that may be. For such a small creature, they sure make a lot of noise. I would also presume that there must be thousands of these little creatures in the forest to make so much noise.
After swimming for a bit, Stuart and I continued our hike into the woods..all the while taking tons ...
... getting a taxi, even on Sunday. I go up to tell Robin that we have no way into town only to find her laying on her bed looking miserable. She says "I just threw up". Ruh oh. I can only say it was fate that there were no taxi's. We would have gotten to town and had to turn around.
My evening was spent packing and hanging out with the other guests while Robin spent a good portion of the night in the bathroom expelling from both ends. A tough way to end a lovely vacation.
... of 2013. I loved how fresh and new it was and they are delightful. I felt like I was living in their large home. The kids came to like us and hung out with us at breakfast and in the pool each day. Staying here also gave me a chance to practice my Italian. GeanMario's parents were visiting and with the help of Google translator, I had a lovely time chatting with Nona (Grandma) from Torino. She even invited me to visit. Time to plan!
