... watching the locals. Some of them were incredible! Climbing all over, flipping, diving, jumping, it was so fun to watch! They made everything look so easy!
We all left to go back to town and the students left to get back to San Jose. I made myself some lunch and then went to relax, aka watch movies. ... saw was the sky on my way down, and all I could do was laugh madly. At some point along that kilometer, I got tired of seeing only sky, and I asked John to describe what he could see. As he looked around, he may have disrupted our aerodynamics and we came to a stop at least 100 feet before we were supposed to, so a guide had to scale the line over to us and drag us to the end. After this, we wiped caked and splattered mud from our faces, ...

Today was our first full day in the Monteverde region. We are staying at the mar inn , a family run bed and breakfast. The son runs the place, his girlfriend cooks, his brother runs the shuttle. In addition to breakfast, they also serve our group dinner - very typical Tico (Costa Rican) food: rice and beans of some sort at every meal, veggies and a protein... Chicken or fish thus far. We are free to venture off on our own, but had language lessons this evening so we all ate ...
