... Vegueta. The architecture is Spanish and Canarian. Unfortunately, the Museum of the Canaries closed at 2 pm (on a Saturday!), but I did visit the Cathedral of Santa Ana and Columbus House Museum. Christopher Columbus stopped and stayed in the Canary Islands on each of his four expeditions, to provision his ships and prepare for his voyages of discovery of the New World (what he thought was India).

... 430 so we headed to California and rented boogie boards to play with. It was a little harder then I expected but all we were doing was riding with the wave on our belly. Figured it was a good time to pull out the disposable camera and snap some shots. Hope they turn out alright. We returned the boogies and headed for the real deal! ... up Colin in the process. Reluctantly, we walked over to the markets and had tapas for dinner. I say reluctantly because Colin wasn't feeling too well from being in the sun. We left shortly after and retired to our room for the night.

Sunday was a fairly low-key day. We FaceTimed, we played Scrabble, we ate a terrible breakfast and dinner at our hotel but enjoyed a delicious lunch of chicken Milanese and tomato salad at a little cafe. ...

... basic necessities like water. We arrived safely and eagerly stepped out of the cabin. Instantly I felt that dewy warmth on my dehydrated airplane skin. If I could bottle that feeling I would!
