... but we are getting there.

The trade off is we are in a beautiful environment. Very dry air, and hard water. Altitude also affects the temperature water boils at, and how long things take to cook. Soft boiled egg is 6 minutes. Fortunately there is an App to help with such things. Also means that hangovers can arrive early and hit hard. Firstly a story I forgot to mention yesterday, I recounted it to Matt his morning, when we walking off down to watch Marni at ski school. Brody, Grandpa, Matt, and Brody went down the Aillouds blue run all the way down to the Kandahar lift run again, and then back to the top and then back. Got some video of Marni today, Brody's turn tomorrow.

By now I was sobering up a bit so that was good. We met a French guy who couldn't speak a word of English but could speak German so we had a chat and I could practice my German which was good fun. Suddenly it was 2am and closing time so we walked back to the hostel knowing that tomorrow was going to be a major struggle! Such a good night ...

... versions I might do for fun, but nothing that fits). Later in the day when we were admiring the scenery and majesty of the place, I told Sam we can come back in 3-4 years and I will do the Mont Blanc Ultra – I would love to live up to this as have a 100 mile ultra on my running to do list, and this one is one of the greats of the world. 168kms (100 miles) with 9600 meters of elevation gain. Another year or 2 and I will be ready to train for longer and ...
