I Think My Pants Are Hitting on Me

... br><br>Salta, Argentina &#8211; Argentine finance minister, Carlos, stunned the world recently by announcing a revolutionary new plan to turn old soiled undergarments into semi-valuable Argentine currency. In an innovative effort to lower the cost of printing money and stimulate the hand cleanser industry the populace are being encouraged to bring in their oldest, most disgustingly ******-worn panties, boxers and banana hammocks so they can be processed into limp, soggy ...

BUREACRATIC POSTAL NIGHTMARE

... about six times and one copy is enclosed in the parcel.  If the parcel you present is sealed they open it to check and then reseal it .  You have to fill in numerous forms, signing them in blood and then have to leave a DNA sample (okay, you don't but you get the gist). Then they send the parcel and more than likely it is nicked.  So you go through all this bolloxs and there is no guarantee it gets there.  Basically all Argentinian requiring an international service would send their items ...

... We ate NACHOS!!!!! YUMMY! And had a chocolate chip cookie! No, the food was fantastic and the owners were super nice. In fact, we ate there 2 of the 3 nights in Cafayte. The next day we decided to head out to a place called Rio Colorado, a nice hike where there is supposed to be waterfalls and just a nice area. Well, it was about 6 km out of town so guess what we got to do again. Oh yes, rent bicycles! And to add to the excitement, the ride there was ever so ...

... Salta to Cafayate and Cachi in Argentina. Took plenty off snaps of the amazing scenary, especially on the road famous for its different rock formation which was about 50km before Cafayate, the devils throat, ampitheatre, Castles, grand canyon etc. We visited the Quilmes ruins south of Cafayate were we learnt alot about their persecution by the spaniards. Cafayate is a famous wine region especially the Torrente ( white wine ...

... then all the Israelis ( and there were a lot on this bus!) would go "awwwwww" until the film started again. I think I spent all my time sleeping as I dont recall much of that film as I didnt want to watch it anyway. I eventually arrived in Salta and headed for the Terra Oculta hostel and got a bed in a dorm. The dorm was pretty full and it later transpired they'd had a big BBQ (un asado, they call them here) and everyone got pretty wrecked and were all the worse ...

... so you can jump really high without fear, not sure what it is called. There were kids galore. It is a long weekend so they should still be there tomorrow for me to give it a go when my head will be a bit clearer. Depart for Resistencia tomorrow, then on to Iguazu Falls, hope to be on Ihla do Mel, an island in Brasil, for a week over Christmas, Rio de Janeiro for New Year´s Eve baby .... but knowing us, that could change in a heartbeat.

... meet me. He takes me into what looks like a suburban home behind black gates. We do the sign in business and he leads me into the garage. Here there are 3 bunk beds all occupied except one. I am sleeping in a garage That´s a first. The house itself has quite good facilities, so I don't complain. I hop into the bed and have a gorgeous sleep. First decent sleep in days. The next morning I explore Salta.Salta is a very nice Flat city. The first Flat ...

We had some really nice conversations, giggled a bit and he showed me around town, sat on the plaza, had a few beers. I think no one has ever blown me away so hard, so fast and I felt miserable about going early the next day. I truly just wanted to stay, but for several reasons, that was not possible at this point. The ...
