Der Boss kommt - Bruce Springsteen Down Under!
In den tour-freien U2-Jahren muss man auf Alternativen ausweichen.
Seit Tagen/Wochen wurde drüber spekuliert und seit heute steht fest: BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN spielt ab Mitte März 4 Konzerte (Zeit genug für mehr wäre vorhanden) in Australien.

Innsbruck
... been two winter Olympics and one youth winter Olympics held here. Apparently you can ski all year round thanks to a glacier on one of the mountains. Next we headed into the Old Town streets. The Christmas markets had recently started so we browsed the stalls selling all sorts of produce, Christmas trinkets and most importantly for the locals, hot wines and punches... We are sure this is what gets them through the cold winters! ...

Our second day and last day here we were hoping for a real clear sunning day, and lucky for us we got it! Heading up to the summit of the alps by cable car and then gondola took about 20minutes. Once we got up there, as you can imagine, the view was stunning. Far in the distance you had a nice clear view of the hills with snow and underneath that the city with the river running through. It was weird how it wasn't cold at all, even though we were that high up and surrounded ...
Any pass will do
... and the mountains on which they were on seemed more like planets!!! The sheer size is just out of this world.
After lunch and a walk along the cliff edge I jumped back on my bike and continued further along this wonderful road. Soon I decided it was time to turn back as I seen a sign saying “Passo Giau 15km” which meant it was leading me back to that junction from where I was earlier.

Bridge on the River Inn
... A gentle drive down the valley into Jenbach and then the motorway into Innsbruck. We dropped Helen and Steph off on the fringes of the Old Town and navigated out of the city to the airport. The hire car drop-off went smoothly; no-one there in fact. Back into the city onnthe airport transfer bus as far as the main railway station where we had arranged to meet our significant others. Lunch in a pizzeria. ...
