      ... After a quick schnitzel lunch, we wandered around town. Where Lucern was noisy with great city sounds, Wengen is quiet with mountain peaks all around. There are cable cars up the sides of mountains and water falls dotting the valley walls. Bakeries, hotels and restaurants make up the majority of the town.       ... locomotive at the rear but again it was extremely clean and tidy. As we were 1st class we had a great journey.
      Finally into Basel and its now time to board a more local train for our journey to Interlaken in Switzerland. Just like the last two this train was great inside but after being on the go for well over 14 hours now all I wanted was my bed but we still had two more short local trains to catch before arriving into our town of Wengen.

      ... we didn't book the passes before we left Australia. Yes, that was me. However minor delay and all sorted. From zurich to bern, changed trains, off to interlaken ost, change trains, lauterbrunnen, changes trains and finally wengen.

      beautiful blue skies, warm mid 20s and snow on the mountains. Just superb. We found our accommodation, had a bit of a look ... Gasping with horror at the prices of food ... And after a lovely tea ...

      ... This was not a problem on the first day when we did it but it was now back in cloud and impossible to see any detail of the snow on the run. We completed it by 'feel' with both of us getting down and then off to the Wixi chair without incident.
      The top of the Lauberhorn run was set as a slalom, which we did, before heading off across the rolling run towards the Hundschopf. However, the cloud was quite thick so we could only see one piste marker at ...
