    ... the Lager chair, followed by the Gummi chair and then the Arven chair, to get us to Kleine Scheidegg. None of the BMW sponsored activities were working but we went down the Arven red to look at the speed gun. Great fun for those of us wanting to speed down the hill. After this we went to the restaurant at the top of the Arven chairlift for lunch.
    Lunch was much needed and Ruth and I had a great vegetable soup served in a hollowed out bread roll.

    ... the snow at the bottom.JJ now cleared the first part of the gully, travelling backwards, until he landed in the snow at the bottom with his right ski embedded in the snow drift. I came round the corner of the run and saw the end of this with JJ and his ski in the gully but in different places! I skied up the gully to rescue the skis and skier!
    Then it was time for an early lunch as the afternoon lessons start at 12.30 so Jon and Sam have to be fed by then. ...

    ... by cloud. Then the train enters the mountain. They have built a tunnel behind the Eiger wall so that the train goes through the mountain. At two points in this long tunnel the train stops and you can walk to large windows set in the wall of the mountain and look out. I have no doubt that it would be spectacular but unfortunately we only saw fog. Oh, well! At the top it was the same story. Apparently ...

    ... with the other thousands of proud Swiss and cashed in on tons of free booty they were giving out and cheering along. It was very cool, but a bit tiring and difficult to navigate the crowd to have dinner and see the town.
