... is for sure one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The owners are just fantastically friendly and go out their way to make your stay so much better.

The place was extremely busy with tourists and it was now I was beginning to wonder if they have any free rooms. I soon find the kind lady who runs the place and she unfortunately tells me she has no rooms available.

With no rooms available she gets on the phone and soon tells me there is a hotel about 6 ...

... Day. It is a public holiday in Italy today, Remembrance Day, so lots will be closed. Had breakfast and took the advice of Vittorio the owner and headed to the town of Gubbio. He said it had an old town and interesting architecture. He also told of a man and his relationship with an evil wolf and it is legend in the town, saw statues of it everywhere. 26.10.14 Left Schwangau today and drove through Austria with snow all around us and to the Waldheim Hotel in the Valle Di Casies in the heart of the Dolomites. There is snow all around us but the roads are clear. It is a really picturesque area, not much to do except admire the scenery. We checked into the Hotel and went for a long walk, the Hotel has a restaurant so we will have dinner there. Stayed in our room and played scrabble ...

... then headed over to the museum. We had been told it was great for kids and they loved it. It had a mini scitech section, a section on mountain animals, dinosaur and whale bones, plus more. We spent a couple of hours there being dragged from section to section by 3 excited kids. Luckily the drive home was much less eventful than the ride there and Luca and Brodie both had a nap.
