Arrived on time and bought a Dutch sim card for my phone. I'll be here for a while and lots of people to contact and it will be handy for transport apps to have a bit of data too. Then off to get a transport card for travelling on the trains and maybe buses too.

I found the right train with one change at Zwolle and then Rosa met me at Groningen train station.

It is great to be here and it is sunny and warm!

... not to talk politics and religion. He is quite a progressive and charitable man... However he did make it clear that the windfarms ARE ugly, and they ARE killing the birds, he'd like to see them removed. Tomorrow after breakfast in the great dining room, we'll be driven to see where Tim's Opa lived, then driven back to Amsterdam. I will sleep well tonight, with a belly full of delicious food, a clean comfy bed with no smelly backpackers for miles, in a mansion fit for a queen! Sweet dreams ...
