... very drinkable C******nay! Who would have guessed C******nay was actually drinkable! The Malbec was everything I had hoped for and more, and this was just the start. Bring on the full day tour tomorrow! The olive oil and balsamic vinegar factory was a revelation - I had no idea how long reduced grapes had to sit in barrels before they became delicious balsamic vinegar! Believe it or not, there's more to Mendoza than just wine. It also has some pretty spectacular outdoor activities. You can do everything from rafting to paragliding to horseback riding, but seeing as I'd like to return in one piece, I opted for something a bit less risky. The third full day that I was in Mendoza, I got an early start and was picked up to make the trip of several hours out to Aconcagua. The highest mountain outside of the Himalayas, it's known as ...

... feeling of alcohol-induced tiredness, headaches and nausea there was little else that made waking up on Christmas day in Argentina feel like Christmas. But due to our silly jobs back home, we haven't actually spent a Christmas day together for the past five years! So we were determined to make a go of it. We spent the whole day with Will, Louise and 2 Swiss lads from the hostel and despite our terrible hangovers we made a pretty good go of it.
