    ... minute barrier but wasn't too confident after already doing 4km. So set off and was cruising past all the locals and stopped the clock at the km mark at 3:47. Was ruined from it but got there. Leesh smashed out her final km and we very slowly walked back towards the hostel as a warm down.     ... very safe and was a lot of money for what it was. Was expecting proper gringos but they were so young. Was meant to be sunset ride and for 2.5 hours but didn't get on horse til 6.30 and cloudy - typical, so by time got to viewpoint had already missed sun setting. Had to make sure drank lots of wine to try get monies worth! Got better once off horses! 2 couples from BA, one from Israel, a German girl and lenja and I. Had asado not much meat, tinier ...

    The province of Mendoza produces 70% of Argentina's wine. Well worth a visit.

    To reach Mendoza city we caught the 7.15am bus from Cordoba. It took 11 hours followed by a 40 minute walk (with backpacks!) from the bus station to our hostel. Imagine our satisfaction then, when we arrived during the free wine happy hour and in time to register for the all-you-can-eat BBQ. The beef and chorizo were exquisite. It was a neat little ...

    ... recuperate the expensive ticket cost would be to drink our body weight in wine. This of course made the party even better! And though we don't remember the majority of it we are sure that we had a good time. We all have the same flashback of walking back through the streets of Mendoza shouting out Christmas songs at the top of our voices. We imagine it was about as close to spending Christmas Eve in Burnley as we could get.
