    ... tried that was unfamiliar to us is Torrontes, a white wine that has a Sauvignon Blanc/Viognier feel. Rather good, fruity bouquet with a dry finish.There was a wide range of diverse wines to try at the wine tasting event, including Bonarda, Roble, Rosada, Tanat.     Our entrance to Mendoza was not great. It turns out that in Argentina and on buses to Argentina, unlike in all other countries in the world, the attendant expects a tip for putting your bag on the bus. Unfortunately we hadn't factored in that it was Sunday so most places of interest were closed or the fact that after spending 18 hours with no sleep on various buses the last thing we wanted to do was explore a busy city in the boiling sun.
