    Today we decided to drive to Delabole where Rob's great grandfather came from to visit the slate mine that he worked in. It is still in operation for 600 years.     Had quite a long drive ahead so left fairly early and drove to the coast passing through the quaint old village of Mortehoe. It had a 12 century church and the pews we thought to have been made from timber from wrecks of the Spanish Armada. Our drive to Mortehoe and onwards to the seaside town of Woolacombe which is famous for its wind surfing beach.
