... and had one tiny ledge to put half his foot. About a minute or two, he finally found himself in the boat. We took turns sliding down and then Davide would pull each of us into the boat. I was last. I did exactly as the instructor told me. Crossed legs and arms and leant back. BOOM! I slid into the water and came up quickly due to the cooooooooooooooold water. Farewell Yessers & On to Vercelli

I am definitely taking "Option B Low Level Route". I think that the upper trails will be slick and I want to make good time. I hope to stay at a campground that saves one camp trailer for pilgrims but if it is closed, I will need to go a short distance more for a ...

Liz and the others made such a celebration of my birthday (on Friday) which was wonderful and I felt very special! I was a long way from home and Brunetta (a friend from Adelaide) was very worried that I might spend my birthday alone - but no need to worry Brunetta - I had a great time with lots of people, a beautiful cake and verses of happy birthday in three languages, German, Dutch and English! How blessed was I!! Great thanks to Liz for ...
