... a village event to mark the opening of an exhibition by two local artists - one a painter, the other a craft wood-worker. The event was to start at 8.30pm with a brass band, followed by free eats and drinks, before the formal opening of the exhibition. Unfortunately for me, the concert and several rounds of speeches went on so long I was left with no option but to forgo the refreshments and expo and retire to bed at 10.30pm.

Arrived here at lunch time, unexpected peace and quite in run down motorhome only campsite. Was going to have given the place a miss and gone for the more traditional all singing and dancing over priced Italian campsite. Glad we didn't, in small field next to lake only two other vans. We were driving to Italy in we're my zia and Zio came from we had dinner that night at there place we had a lot of food zia was a very good cook I thought it would be coffee and biscuits. ... Rebecca headed towards the mountains, climbing up to the base hills, where finally the road got to narrow to navigate and it was cycling and hiking tracks then on. Amazing views back over the valley. Ivy and grape covered buildings, included arched over roadside. Hydrangea, roses and petunias, begonia everywhere. Barley, wheat, rice, hay, cover the fields.
