Pottered about the little town of Pella near to where we are staying. Sat on wooden bench on quayside scoffing a gelato each like oldies do apparently. Delightful. Have now planned next step over the Simplon pass to stay in a small hotel in Chamonix, hoping to see Mont Blanc before the weather closes in. From there working our way back to the channel coast over 4-5 days. All fine and jalopy holding up so far - touch wood. Love to you all again. ...

I was a long way from home and Brunetta (a friend from Adelaide) was very worried that I might spend my birthday alone - but no need to worry Brunetta - I had a great time with lots of people, a beautiful cake and verses of happy birthday in three languages, German, Dutch and English! How blessed was I!! Great thanks to Liz for ...

I have been away to the north of Italy to the mountains for a few days to visit a group who run Ravenwood, an eco village set up off the grid (no electricity lines from a major company!).

I travelled on an Italo high speed train which is red ..... because it goes faster at 300 km per hour! I travelled from Luigi's apartment on the metro to board the big red train at Roma Tiburtino station and travelled to Torino (Turin). As I couldn't get a ...
