Unlike Easter Sunday, Easter Monday traffic bites. We had an extremely long day leaving Marseille at 9 and arriving in Pavone at 5. Speed varying from 1kmh to 148kmh (yes Dave, I was watching!) Worth the drive? Most definitely! I feel like Princess Fiona, in the highest room in the tallest tower of a Castle on a hill. I wonder if Shrek will rescue me? It overlooks to most beautiful snow topped mountains. It is heaven. ...

... becomes more of a marvel.
I left Biella yesterday for the first time. All by myself. On a train. The key thing to remember is 'Don't Stress, Don't Panic' and all will be good and dandy.
I met with Ellen at the station with the australian way of finding someone-stick your hand up and start yelling- it worked wonders.
It was beautiful in Milano, very big, very elaborate. Especially the Duomo! The only way i can describe it is very pointy.

Liz and the others made such a celebration of my birthday (on Friday) which was wonderful and I felt very special! I have been away to the north of Italy to the mountains for a few days to visit a group who run Ravenwood, an eco village set up off the grid (no electricity lines from a major company!).
