Nous arrivons, affamés, à Gent. Joanie avait lu dans notre petit guide que les meilleurs gaufres, faites dans un moule vieux de 120 ans, étaient à l'établissement Max. Donc, nous nous dirigeons dans le but de nous offrir une de ces fameuses gaufre. Nous nous butons malheureusement à une porte close. L'établissement est fermé pendant une semaine... We hung around Brugge all morning as it was a lovely warm day once again, I brought a thermometer in Veurne and we have hit high 20's since being in Belgium. I imaging it is going to be quite intense in a motor home in 30 plus weather.

Practised a bit of continental driving - weaving in and out of articulated lorries with me as navigator shouting 'GO' when there was a large enough gap inbetween the other Europeans doing 120k whilst we struggles in the hippo to reach 90k before quickly returning to the relative safety of the inside lane.

Stopped in Bruges for some lunch and a wander, pretty but not quite the movie set I had ...

... Beauvais Airport. We reached Ghent (aka Gent, Gand) at about 1pm. With historic architecture, fab restaurants and sublime chocolate shops, it is a great place to enjoy. We spent only 2 hours in Ghent as we had to take our flight to Pisa from Paris-Beauvais airport. On the way to Beauvais, we crossed Antwerp (aka Antwerepen, Anwers), another beautiful city. It is second largest city of Belgium.
