Usually after a long hard week, weekends are supposed to provide quietude. People look forward to put their mental batteries to charge-up during two days, so that it can run for the upcoming five. I am no different. After sitting for straight four to six hour long lectures and thinking about those hours for the rest of the day is what a Master's degree student in Milan usually does on a regular weekday. Although, one day ...

The locals eat dinner after 7.30 but we managed to find a place at 7 & had a good dinner before retiring at 9pm.

I arrived in Mantova a little after 2:00pm and it was a lot hotter then Rovereto. It didn't help that I had on all my warm, black cycling gear still from that morning. The walk to my hotel took about 20 minutes, which felt longer in the heat, and when I arrived there weren't any signs so it took me a little while ...

... tired so we headed back to the hotel after a stop at a grocery store for some snacks. A couple hours to relax and we went out for dinner at a restaurant just around the corner from our hotel. The Cangrande Restorante & Enoteca proved to be one of the best places we have eaten at so far on our trip. The owner spent time with us and suggested several things to try. His wife brought us each out a small bowl of Risotto to welcome us. When asked where we ...

... the old city. Hotel Columba D'Oro is only a block from the old Roman Arena that now serves as a concert venue. Upon check-in we were informed that Sunday was the last of a three day regional wine tasting event being held in Verona old town. Over sixty wineries of the Veneto region offered Soave, Valpolicella, Amarone and a few Sparkling wines for visitors to try. The tasting was great bargain ...
