... 10 hour drive! We stayed in a camping ground in lauterbrunnen which when we opened the doors to our tent had the most amazing waterfall coming off a massive cliff - not a bad sight!! We went up to Jungfrau which I would recommend to everyone - we were so lucky with the weather. The sky was such a different blue being around all the snow and being at 3500ft above sea level may change the way you ...

... 5 hours each way and we got the most beautiful views of the Swiss Alps. At the top is a big building with viewing platforms, entrances out onto the mountain, an ice palace and shops and restaurants. We wandered around and then sat and ate our lunch outside on a viewing platform. It was 1.7 degrees Celsius at the top but when the wind died down the sun was shining and it was quite warm! When we got back we had a weeks worth of washing to do which took us like an hour and cost us about ...

We then decided to the full Lauberhorn run (all 4455 m of black run). We started off and I enjoyed ...

Waking up to a perfectly clear sky, we decided to make the train trip up to the Jungfraujoch, the research center and tourist destination called the "the highest railway station" in Europe 11,333 feet. The peaks of the Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger overlook this site. The 2 hour trip is by cog railway from Lauterbrunnen at 2612 feet through Wengen and Kleine Scheidegg, the half-way stop. We changed trains at Kleine Scheidegg and enjoyed coffee in ...

Snowy Day Inside

... walk to the restaurant left us covered in snow nonetheless. I saw some pretty tuckered-out skiiers slumped in the restaurant; don't get me wrong, fresh powder is amazing, but with this much I know how much it works your legs and wears you out!

After lunch, it was time for more rest. Well, supposed to be rest filled with finishing my book, writing blogs etc, instead it turned into a massive nap for me - I have no idea ...
