Die schönste Etappe, obwohl: 900 Höhenmeter. Durchs ganze Vinschgau führt ein reiner Veloweg (nicht eine umfunktionierte Quartierstrasse, wie oft hierzulande). Gemütliche, kurze Fahrt durch die Obstplantagen bis Meran. Wie immer organisiert Verena das Hotel. Im Touristenbüro erkundigt sie sich nach einer guten Adresse. Eine Dame, die hinter ihr in der Schlange steht, empfiehlt das Mignon. Es stellt sich dann heraus, dass sie die Besitzerin dieses Hotels ist. Die Adresse ist tatsächlich so erstklassig, dass sogleich der Beschluss für einen vierten Ruehtag gefällt wird, was sich umso mehr empfiehlt, weil für Sonntag schlechtes Wetter angesagt ist.
