... hired a motor scooter now to get around town. I'll go back to the marina tomorrow to look at another boat.

The area is quite different to I imagined; not that I can think now what I imagined. The first thing that struck me driving in the bus from the Dalaman airport to Marmaris, is how quiet it is (especially after Asia). The towns, roads etc. were empty of people. The countryside is ...

The island of Rhodes is another big tourist attraction with many beach resorts and hotels. I was told tourist season has another 2 weeks and then everything closes. The weather has been great, sunny in the mid 20's. This is a good time of year to go, perhaps not as crowded and not as hot.

We went to the village of Lindos a typical island village with whitewashed houses and narrow winding ...

I spent two weeks on a volunteer workcamp in the district of Mugla. I went through an organisation called CSV which offers many different workcamps at affordable prices. I chose to volunteer at a Cat and Dog shelter as I am a huge animal lover.

This was an absolutely incredible experience and I had the chance to meet some amazing people from all over the world. The first weekend was ...
