... a do not disturb sign on the door for 48hrs, that’s a caring front office team! Despite the best
intentions to make it out to the Black Forest, we failed miserably due to the late nights, so will have to save that for a return visit. We’re actually facing the prospect of arriving in Munich a little beered out…. Oh, and Freiburg is a lovely town btw.

Werner and I rode from Beaune to Liesberg in 3 hours. It was a short but good ride.

Overall we had an excellent time, saw some new interesting places, and were very good riding pair.

... every sense a tourist town. You have to park outside downtown at the train station then walk 15 minutes into town where there is a tiny main street filled with shops. The shops sell everything from postcards, black forest ham, cuckoo clocks, bollenhuts and of course souvenirs.

The lake itself isn't so big, but filled with canoes and pedal boats for hire and the shoreline is surrounded by hotels. Perfect for ...

Returning to Dornach with continuing rain showers makes me wonder if this rain will ever stop!
