We had an 8 o'clock flight to Sendai Friday morning. Chris never went to sleep and I woke up around 5 am to get ready. We took the first subway train to the train station and got to the airport about 50 minutes before our flight took off. A true highlight of any japanese experience is Zao Onsen, a ski resort town about 45 minutes East of Yamagata.
Came here a bit by chance and was very lucky indeed. This town is so charming, lots of little lodges and restaurants, it's pretty, clean and surrounded by mountains, ski slopes and lakes. ... the way so the trains weren't working anymore, we had to wait for a bus and then the bus left us at another train station and finally we got where we needed to be. Total time by local train: 13hours.
Collapsed once i arrived in the hotel that had a shower, which i hadn't had for two days (lol) and passed out.
