This morning we go for breakfast to the Starbucks in the entrance hall of the Yamagata train station which is connected to the hotel. They have all kind of warm breakfast goodies and good coffee. We then head to the Nippon Rental Car office across from the hotel to rent a car for the day. It's another Subaru Imprezza with GPS with directions in English. Early this morning there was another earthquake. Emile saw the curtains sway. When googling it, we found the epicenter was northeast off the coast of Honshu and it had a magnitude of 6.8. No wonder it was noticeable in Tokyo as well. This morning we leave for Yamagata, about 3 hours by train north-northwest of Tokyo.
