... dem der Wind offenbar nix ausgemacht hat - hat er zumindest gesagt, die Jacke wär sonst eh im Auto geblieben - ausgeborgt.
Als nächstes war die letzte Station unseres Roadtrips bevor wir das Auto in Tokyo zurückgeben auf dem Plan: Nikkô. Unser Hotel war nicht direkt in Nikkô, sondern beim Chûsenjiko, einem Bergsee in der Nähe. Also mal wieder Serpentinen rauf.
Das Hotel selbst war zwar ziemlich nett, wir wollten aber draußen ...

Alles in allem war das eigentlich sehr interessant.

Unfortunately, the most attractive outdoor hot spring bath was closed in this season, so I took a bath at the public bathhouse called Shimonoyu. There was neither ticket machine nor ticket-taker at the gate but a small post collecting 200 yen entrance fee. I tried to pay 200 yen and searched for some coins in my wallet, but I had only 80 yen in coin. I should have broken a bill at a convenience store ...
The Phone Call
... two hours on the Shinkansen train north of Tokyo. The first train out was at 7am. After I hung up the phone I laid back on the bed thinking how I was going to change my flight. I couldn't get back to sleep so I left early for the train station. As Yonezawa is a quiet rural town, the streets were deserted and my half an hour walk on the icy pavement to the train station in complete darkness ...
