... dem der Wind offenbar nix ausgemacht hat - hat er zumindest gesagt, die Jacke wär sonst eh im Auto geblieben - ausgeborgt.
Als nächstes war die letzte Station unseres Roadtrips bevor wir das Auto in Tokyo zurückgeben auf dem Plan: Nikkô. Unser Hotel war nicht direkt in Nikkô, sondern beim Chûsenjiko, einem Bergsee in der Nähe. Also mal wieder Serpentinen rauf.
Das Hotel selbst war zwar ziemlich nett, wir wollten aber draußen ...

... nicht ihrer Konfession angehört), bei dem wir wohl auch gesegnet wurden. Und zu allerletzt hat uns der Priester noch ein paar Schätze seines Tempels gezeigt. U.a. ein Handabdruck von Tokugawa Ieyasu und Teegeschirr von Godaigo tennô (für die Nicht-Japanologen: das sind beides wichtige historische Persönlichkeiten). Alles in allem war das eigentlich sehr interessant.

... its hot spring. There were a few communal bathhouses in the area. Unfortunately, the most attractive outdoor hot spring bath was closed in this season, so I took a bath at the public bathhouse called Shimonoyu. There was neither ticket machine nor ticket-taker at the gate but a small post collecting 200 yen entrance fee.
