... hab dann auch mal ein anderes probiert "godfather" - hat mich stark an den beercontest an irgendeine fernoestliche pfuetze (japan oder china) erinnert - eine 650ml-qual.

am naechsten morgen den bus nach srinagar - mit pausen ca. 10h fuer die etwa 300 km - viel verkehr und kurven - es geht in die berge.

bin mittlerweile in srinagar im kashmir - bericht folgt morgen - hab jedenfalls einen sonnenbrand.

... It had been a long 26 hours and we didn't want to go through the hassel of getting a 2nd class ticket, trying to find a sleeper seat, bribing the conductor, blah blah blah. Then we talked to the tourist desk and they said there was a train direct to Mumbai! only 32 hours long! Special train that only runs every week or so. It left the next morning. We're so on it!

... up to the reception desk of a hotel down a small side street and asked if there was somewhere with Internet access nearby, whereupon I got blank stares from the three guys loitering there. I turned to go out and immediately opposite is a shop with two A4-sized "INTERNET" signs stuck on the doors. If the guys had good eyesight they might have even been able to read the signs from where they were standing!

... just n the approach to Kashmir and I can see now why it is such a desired section of land by both the Pakistani’s and Indian’s. Undulating hills that lift your gaze skyward back dropped by powder blue skies and heaven worthy, white fluffy clouds, fertile fields of crops soaking up the Summer sun at the base of the mountains, while those not tempted by the pristine ribbon of concrete that winds it’s way through the hills simply make a dash up the bed of the dried up ...
