      ... chair shop on the way so spent quite a bit of time there before a rather indifferent but alternative lunch with a German twist. I imagine it caters for the hoards of Dutch and German occupants of the surrounding flats and camps. Quite glad to leave as far too near ...

      ... we are now.

      We were pleased to find some lovely changes in the center, most importantly improved internet. Good enough that I can actually write my blog from my room. In rural Spain sometimes even cell signals are elusive, so good speed internet can be a miracle!

      Lots of other things have been spruced up, new beds and linens. New menus with more options offered beyond juicing and of course the usual array of workout and educational classes ...

      ... in compensation the weather has turned nice and with some friends I drove up into the mountains to do a walk along a headland and past some windmills and it was warm enough for even the butterflies to come out. I have also been wobbling my way around on the motorbike and even used it to take Treacle to a local nature reserve, unfortunately to get anywhere I have to go on a fairly narrow but busy main road and that isn't much fun.

      ... to see who could make the best torrijas. This is a take on French toast by the Spanish. You take bread and soak it in milk, dip in egg, and then fry it in olive oil. You then sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top of it. My group actually ended up winning. We won wine that we get to drink at the end of the course. It was a fun Monday (never thought I would say that).
