Usually after a long hard week, weekends are supposed to provide quietude. People look forward to put their mental batteries to charge-up during two days, so that it can run for the upcoming five. I am no different. After sitting for straight four to six hour long lectures and thinking about those hours for the rest of the day is what a Master's degree student in Milan usually does on a regular weekday. Although, one day ...

The return bus from Lazise, at 1.30, was nearly full of school kids returning home but they thinned out rapidly as we approached Verona. The countryside appears to be very fertile with many vineyards, olive groves, fruit trees, ...

Although a fictional character of Shakespeare, this is a popular stop with a balcony for the tourists.

The afternoon was getting late and our feet ...

... Soraighe". Great tasting, full body with a very nice finish. We even tried to buy some locally but could not find it. There is a website for it however - www.soraighe.com.
The tour was a great way to get a first look at old Verona, a classic Italian town with a lot of old Roman construction including a remarkable arena.

We completed our wine tasting / tour of Verona about ...

          Ciao party people!!

This past week has been crazy leading up to finals that are this week, so I have forgotten to update my blog about last weekend!

The week before last, we had a lot of recovering to do from Oktoberfest and on top of that, I was sick with an upper respiratory tract infection so I was in all week getting better. We hung around Florence on Friday preparing for Venice and Verona.

On Saturday, October 10th, we woke up super early and ...
