We are now back in Amsterdam after eight weeks travelling around and it feels a bit like 'home'. We knew which tram to catch and exactly where our apartment is. Tijl and Marique's daughter made us a lovely 'Welcome Back' sign along with a bowl of chocolates. Yum! The road from Bremen today ...

... would take us a solid two hours to find this market! Once we got there, we wandered around and looked at all the different things that the locals were selling. We had a cup of hot chocolate, and then decided to head back to the hostel. It took us quite a long time to finally find our way back, but low and behold we made it! The rest of that day consisted of relaxing and catching up with our families!

After a very good sleep, we made plans for ...

... in Amsterdam, where people have access to free or cheap goods and ideas. She was a very interesting person, who had walked 800 Kms with her boyfriend and a donkey into Bulgaria earlier in the year. She had also studied in Melbourne for 6 months and lived in the US for nine months. She could speak English beautifully with no accent. We originally thought she was Canadian, but no she is Dutch. She can also speak Spanish, Italian, German and a little Bulgarian. So impressive. ...
