... we walked in! It was a beautiful day!! There was so many flowers everywhere! Some of the most beautiful tulips I've seen in my life! And other flowers too. Arranged in beautiful patters and designs. The park was huge and we ended up spending several hours in there walking around and taking pictures with flowers. As we made our way back to the from, we stopped and got ourselves some tulip bulbs to bring home, and also got some Dutch hotdogs! ...

A Melbourne kind of day
Rain, sunshine -repeat
Still, when in s city like Amsterdam, it is always nice

... completely different - these were built to do that! Back in the day merchant houses were built from ******, porous material so they leaned them forward so when it rained it would only hit the top rather than the whole facade. Also, it helped them transport goods up into their place. They have hooks hanging off a horizontal beam on the top of the building for a pulley, and the forward lean helped ensure they could hoist stuff up without it going through the ...

... stop tour so we couldn't study each one. One thing I did notice though was all the carpets were really hard to identify which country was which.... All but one... You guessed it the USA has it's flag decorating its square. I was shocked that in Amsterdam people didn't have last names until the 18th century. Bonaparte declared that everyone had to have a surname so that is why a lot of Dutch people have silly last names... Or that's what they say at least! Kor informed us ...
