We finally got here after here after quite the journey. We started off late, but managed to reach our gate just as they started boarding. Zach was surprised we had 1st class seats and I convinced him it was just for the first part of the trip. It was pretty luxurious and it makes you never ever want to fly economy again. We were rather fond of the free drinks!

We landed a little early and took a few minutes to chill in the Red Carpet ...

... on that day, so we decided to take a seat in Craenenburg house, and we never regretted that :D

There are nice parks in the southern side of the old town (which is the end of the boat tour). I can imagine how crowded these parks will be in summer time. Brugges is the wonderful mixture of France, England and Holland. Even in the freezing rain, I helplessly fall in love with this city.

... van two weeks ago, and as we drove there, got followed by a mysterious biker - our friend Danny had come to welcome us back!! :-) He was also there to video us getting the car out of the van: G1I

I managed to get a bit lost, even in Harwich, in an attempt to get petrol, but soon, was back on the road for the final stretch to HOME!

After one step for each day of a Leap Year we’re at the top! And yes, the views over Bruges are spectacular. (Although how did ‘Ken’ wave to ‘Ray’ in ‘In Bruges’ if he was sitting at the bottom of the tower? You can only see the far side of Markt from the top! And don’t get me started ...
