... off down pat. And if there is only one person to pick up, same applies. So, 12 hours from Baños to Tulcan. Taxi from there to the boarder. 1 hour stop in Ipiales to change bus. Then 12 hours again to Cali. I had 2 hours sleep in all this time. Then no sleep in Cali, have to explore.... The boarder crossing was a bit of a joke. After an overnight bus ride our bus cruised through town with various families asking for stops along the way. Around 6AM our bus pulled into the terminal with life already begun. Taxis were lined up, snack shops were open and after a hazy nine-plus hours on the bus a new day ...

... The rain still wasn't letting up, so we decided to go to the supermarket and get some dinner and a wee bottle of rum, as we had the house thingy to ourselves this night. We spent the night in the wee living room watching the fire flies, having a nice meal and a couple of drinks and watching lost on the laptop. This is such a nice place to chill out!

Day 105

It was still a bit rainy but we decided just to go ahead and do the hike anyway. We got in a taxi ...
