... bummed that Rory pulled out of the British Open as he would have been fun to watch and cheer for with all the Irish citizens that I'm sure attend the event. Imperial is planning on organizing a little soccer match in Hyde park this week between ND, Georgia Tech, and Cornell so hoping that plan comes to fruition as I haven't touched a ball in a while now. ... about 6:00pm. We started writing the Blog for today while we waited for dinner at 7:00pm. Once again we decided to eat in at the hotel - a few reasons being it was inexpensive, easy and also we have not had an opportunity to explore anything in this area other than Puy du Fou - that is probably the reason this hotel exists. For 12 euro per person, we received a glass of sparkling peach wine and delicious, freshly roasted peanuts, followed by a salad ...

Les Vikings was a show telling of the arrival of the Vikings in a French village. Animals were used again, including well trained dogs who were 'attacking' the Vikings as they started to plunder the village. There were stuntmen falling from buildings, being dragged behind horses and being killed in sword fights. A Viking Ship rose up from the river with people on board, standing upright - how did they do ...

... trucks were having a break. Only one toll ticket for 3.5 hours and as we got near Nantes we came off to go to the lovely town of Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu we had to pay €51.50 for our days work.
The drive North was ever changing because very soon we had left the vineyards behind and soon encountered huge fields of barley many already cut and straw baled and removed more with combine harvester parked up ready to roll.

... br> Nantes, a city on the Loire River in the Upper Brittany region of Western France, is quite large and very modern city and with that comes traffic especially about 4:00pm on a Saturday and the hotel was right in the middle - there were trams, raised cycle lanes down the middle of the road which were twice the width of the lanes for the other vehicles.
