... where they had to stay in the Salle de Fêtes overnight. The resort didn’t open again until Wednesday and then only partially because of severe avalanche risk, so once again the family couldn’t ski and spent the time clearing snow so we could get out. We did manage to venture to Payolle on Jake’s birthday to have lunch out and had to drive round the various TV crews stationed in St-Marie reporting the catastrophe. Michel saw it all on the ...

... to get to the top. It was his first real mountain climb and he wasn’t disappointed, the scenery was totally awesome with switchbacks through the woods at the bottom of the climb before getting ever steeper and slower before finally reaching the summit at 1490 metres, wow what an achievement! His best ride to date!

All in all we have had a brilliant few days, and now we are off to do some work!!
