        23-10-13 Luxembourg to Bern, Switzerland

        Today I awoke at about 07h30 and decided to take a look outside the window. I was expecting to see a nice blue sky and sunshine!! However, it was still dark as hell out but one thing I did notice is that the rains had come and the place was in a flood.

        ... watched the multimedia show at the tourist centre which told of Bern's history.

        Bern was briefly taken over by the French (napolean time) drawn by its wealth - they took their money and bears(?!). After a massive fire - the houses were rebuilt in stone ( common story across Europe).
