... somehow I must have forgotten how it was, I was struck like a foreigner , seeing this the first time.
Arriving in Bern, I was a bit tired , it is a while since I rode such a distance, but with time, I should get fitter, as it is, starting slow, finishing strong.
Now, I stay with my sisters son, Alexander, who provides my next few days accommodation . I am now organising to pick up the required visas to the east.

The breakfast I got consisted of a few bits of bread and a roll with some spreads, coffee and orange juice. When they said breakfast was included in the price I was thinking more like a cooked breakfast at least. Oh well, I suppose we cannot win them all.

While we were prepared for coming to Switzerland, we didn't particularly have a plan for it. Well, I must say that the train ride here was breathtaking, and while I'm sure it's quite nice in the summer, everything covered in snow was also super-swell. We arrived in Bern primarily due to its proximity to Gruyeres, but thought Bern would also be fine. It is nice, and the snow falling ...

... driving. As soon as I got to the Hotel, I switched it to “pedestrian” mode. I probably could have used the mapping function on the iPhone, but I'm still not quite sure how it works and now is not the time to learn as I have limited data capability.

I happened to arrive at the Elevator to reception (which is on the second floor) at the same time as one of the girls that works at the hotel, so she led me right to the desk. The Elevator is rather ...
