We were learning a sort of junk zone, which was kindof confusing due to my sucky French, (and probably confusing in general too because I wasn't the only one who didn't really get it.) It turned out so well that I spent the next hour on epicurious trying to find new recipes. Unfortunately, after that, I forgot to clean ...

... that, I had an awesome time, though my foot hurt afterwards, and I decided I wasn't really ready to play. The only really stressful part of my day occurred when I talked to my program directors about switching families so that I could speak more French inside the house. They told me that I should talk to my host mom about it, which makes perfect sense, and I went to her. Unfortunately, I understood by the end of that conversation that she wanted to help me, ...

... us about the history of the Loire river. It's actually pretty cool.

The commerce was what, he argued, gave power to monarchies that ruled over the feudal system there, because the merchants needed to have rules that allowed for fair trade over the water. They created Chateaus both for defense and for the monarchs and rulers to stay in during their journeys. Before the advent of trains, the Loire valley led to a very busy port, Nantes, which was ...
