Stop in Berne, the capital city of Switzerland en route to Lake Genève. Visit the town of Montreux, famous for its Jazz Festival, before enjoying a lakeside drive to Evian les Bains on the southern slopes of Lake Genève. Departed Zurich at 9am to head to Bern. We had no preconceived ideas on what Bern would like, but when we drove into Bern, it is just jaw droppingly beautiful. No words could explain how beautiful this place is. Have a look at ...

With a pool table in the front room, we spent a lot of time playing singles or doubles in the evenings. On Saturday we explored Vevey properly walking into town then along side the lake with huge snow tipped mountains as an amazing backdrop. It's so good to spend some quality time with the ...

We were fortunate yesterday to have a beautiful sunny day when we took the ferry to visit Chillon Caste, just near Montreux. Known as the Montreux Riviera the area is highly developed with hotels and casinos on the edge of the lake, and getting ready for the Montreux Jazz Festival which is on in July . Seeing all the modern buildings I was glad we had ...
