First day arrived late from Paris and walked into town and stopped in for some pasta. Today we went to Cannes for the day as you do, weather was lovely till around 5 when it rained but saw lots of nice sites and crazy prices (canvas coloured casual runners 200E, bathers 200E but probably made for 3E.. Tomorrow we are off for a cruise to Monaco and the palace.

... There is not a square inch that is not built on or landscaped. The Grimaldi's bought the land from the the Italians in 1297. The Casino was started in 1878 to save them from bankruptcy! We visited the palace and made our donation to the Casino. We took the Gran Prix road back through the tunnel under the Palace back into France and then back to Nice. Kevin dropped back by the Flower Market where we had dinner of pizza and ...
