Tried for an early start again - started well but then major fail as a thunderstorm that I can assume only happens on the sunny French Rivera coast. Sideways rain lashing the van and awning - me making sure I noted nicks comments of 'do we have to put the awning up tonight' and 'not sure I'll need my fly - won't put it on properly will just throw it over my tent' the night prior!! We walked back to our hotel to book a tour for tomorrow then headed out again in search of the Russian Cathedral. After ...

... Jay: well, the washrooms in general are strange, some you need a code, some you have to pay to use, some were unisex. Ness: your best experience? Jay: Paris, with the quick express menu, where you order everything at the machine. There was also the very nice security guard dressed in a tuxedo, who humoured my very poor attempts to speak French. Ness: so, how ...

Breakfast at the Sainte Valerie is served in the courtyard, which has a natural canopy from large magnolia trees and other vines. The tables are arrayed throughout the courtyard, and they have a large buffet with several stations throughout, including fresh bread and pastries, fruit, yogurt and cheese. The coffee area was great, with a cappuccino machine and unlike all the other breakfast buffets we enjoyed, these folks had an egg station, where they ...
