    ... are guards outside it definitely isn't as guarded as Buckingham palace, you can walk almost to the front door, your only stopped by small chain railings which are literally up to your knees. The palace is big and off white creme colour, they have building work going on at the moment. (Most places have construction going on probably to get ready for formula 1 racing happening soon.)     ... the beach, but now they are stone beaches instead of sand. Love how everyone gets out amongst it, all shapes, sizes and ages, and baked to a tan that will shrivel like a sultana no doubt! Loads of dogs on the beach lazing with their owners, or walking the streets and cafes. Small to medium dogs mainly. We turn inland now, heading up into the alps to find Peille.     ... to get back for the fireworks was shot, but now we needed to come up with another plan to return to our hotel. The taxi stand was full of taxis earlier, but when we we to back they had all left with passengers arriving on a train that had come in from the other direction.
