Day 32 - La Croix Valmer

... of my life - I was totally unprepared for the scale of the boats moored down there. And they totally don't suit the location - it's like someone parked their Hummer in Legoland. All very Lilliputian. This afternoon we had a lovely walk along the other local beach, Debarquemment. Considering the howling wind, it was very sheltered down there, even out on the jetty. ... beauty of the Côte d'Azur for the first time and I fell in love. I wasn't actually in Nice because the beaches have pebbles, instead Val and I went to Cannes because it has sand. We then set off in the rain. I got a picture of ...

... climbs in our granny gear at a speed of about 8 km an hour. Rowe was slightly stronger on the hills and was probably doing about 10 kph. Parts of this climb were like a never ending Pink Lake hill. Anyway we are pleased to say we all made all the hills for an accumulated total climb (from Dave's GPS) of 2000M. The scenery in the Gorge is simply spectacular. I hope you will get a sense of the ...
