The jumble of cream stone buildings is crammed into the cliff-face above the Dordogne river, with some of the roofs actually butting into the face of the rock, with huge sections of cliff overhanging them. We spent the night at an Aire on the banks of the river and watched the setting sun light up the faces of the cliffs and houses. There were even trout in the river. Magic! ...
We decided to get some miles under us and made a big jump north to this delightful village. There was a very popular aire, and we squeezed between two English vans. This resulted in an evening of natter and wine making for a very pleasant night. Next morning we trotted into the village for the daily baguette, viewed the chateau and the very attractive river. Found MH Aire right on river bank and decided to move there tomorrow for another night, to give us time to relax and have a good look around.
At least the campsite had WiFi - 1e per hour.
