    ... managed to navigate back to the bus station (map WITH compass “set” on it i.e. line up compass with N grid lines, turn map until N end of needle lines up with N point on scale, everything should look as you see it on the ground) was the BEST trick I ever learned.

    I spent only a few days in my family in the Alps, but it was absolutely fabulous!
    When family and really good friends meet after not seeing each other for years, it feels so natural, like nothing has changed, we are just together, now, period.
    So, I did enjoy our time together, then, period. No Internet, no phone, no pictures. It was our time together and we loved every minute of it.
