... is an impressive 15th century Gothic cathedral, the Münster. Construction started in 1421 and continued under a series of different builders for generations. The spire was finally completed in 1893. The Cathedral is Switzerland's largest and most significant church from the Late Middle Ages and is the dominant structure in Bern's Old Town. We spent quite a bit of time looking at the inside and then climbed the 344 steps above ...

Kuru hospitality is just so absolutely lovely. Sid and Muneera treated me to a wonderful Sunday and Rais charmed me from the moment he crawled out of his cot. ... the Stadtkanzlei, or chancellery, and the Münster of Bern, a Swiss reformed cathedral, with all these intricate designs in the doorway depicting loads of Bible stories, with Christ's birth in the center. We then got back to the Railway Station, where we finally went grocery shopping, and where Susannah and I found lots of funny product names, like Tourist Chocolate (for all them tourist folks). We then got back to the car, and drove away from Bern.

Woke up this morning to the sound of the waves on the lake. Beautiful sunshine and we ate our breakfast surrounded by cheeky ducks who were wandering all round our stuff and even trying to get in the tent. Late last night a couple arrived who have spend the last year and 2 months cycling the world on a very similar route to ours - couldn't believe it. They have two days left in their journey until ...
